Pulse n Pixels has launched Velop GiftNote, a WooCommerce plugin designed to help online gift stores carry the sender's voice, face, and emotion all the way to the unboxing moment.
A personal message that travels with the gift
Velop adds a GiftNote step to a store's product page, cart, or checkout. A shopper can record a short voice or video message, or upload a media file, before completing the order.
The store then prints a QR card from the WooCommerce order screen and places it inside the package. When the recipient scans the card, the message opens in their browser with no app download or account required.
Built for the realities of gift ecommerce
Flowers, hampers, jewellery, cakes, subscriptions, and corporate gifts often arrive without the sender. The product may be beautifully presented, but the personal context behind it can be reduced to a short printed slip. Velop is designed to close that gap while fitting into the store's existing fulfillment workflow.
For merchants, GiftNote can also become a paid add-on at checkout. That gives stores a way to improve the gifting experience and create incremental revenue from orders they are already packing and shipping.

Mike, founder of Pulse n Pixels, said the idea came from seeing where online gifting can feel generic: "Somebody spends good money sending a present to a person they care about, and the only thing in the box is a printed slip. Velop came out of that."
He added: "It is a real add-on the customer wants to pay for, it lifts average order value, and it makes the unboxing something the recipient actually reacts to."
WooCommerce features for launch and fulfillment
Velop supports multiple GiftNotes on a single order, configurable widget placement on product pages, tax-inclusive or tax-exclusive pricing, and removal of a message from the cart before checkout. The plugin supports WordPress 6.0 and above and PHP 7.4 and above.
